APPLICATION:
Needle 24×3 Size 11 Cat. 1113 is the
only
needle used on the vintage Singer Sewhandy 40k and 50D Toy Sewing Machines, but the needle is now obsolete and has been out of production for a very long time and nearly impossible to find.  The good news is that the 24×1 Size 11 is still available and can be used in place of the 24×3.  Apart from the flat side being reversed on the shank, the 24×1 and 24×3 needles are identical.
Comes with replica Singer 20 needle changing tool.

QUALITY:
These high quality needles from the Organ Needle Company of Japan are made of special high carbon, silicon rich steel.
INSTALLATION:
To fit the 24×1 Size 11 in the needle bar of the 40K or 50D machines, turn the needle around so that the round side is facing the needle clamp screw and the flat side is facing to the right.  This will result in the grove down the needle being on the correct side for sewing.  The clamp screw will again move the needle to the right, but this time until the corners of the flat meet the wall of the hole.  This will be slightly more than the original 0.04 mm offset, a difference too tiny to matter.  For all practical purposes the 24×1 can be regarded as being in the identical position to the 24×3.
It is important to make sure that the long groove down the length of the needle is to the left of the needle before tightening the clamp screw.  This can be done by sliding the tip of a small pin into the eye of the needle so that the needle is kept straight down the center of the bed.  This will ensure the needle is properly aligned.  The small pin can also be used to lift the needle into the needle bar.
