Description

For Auction:
A complete magazine housing
for the U.S. Model of 1917 .30 Caliber Rifle, better known as the “American Enfield” of WWI.  As most collectors know, three manufactures, Eddystone, Remington, and Winchester, made these rifles.  This parts lot includes ONE each of the following: a trigger housing marked “R” indicating Remington manufacture (note some bluing loss to the guard); a floorplate marked “E” indicating Eddystone manufacture; a floorplate latch/release, pin, and spring marked “W” indicating Winchester manufacture; a magazine shell marked “E”; a follower spring marked “R” (note marking is faint and hard to read); a follower marked “E’ (also a faint mark); and two trigger housing screws (note heavy wear to the screw heads).
Note that this lot will ship assembled.  It is safer that way, with less parts to possibly rattle against each other.
